5. Payment Terms

Payments are processed securely via Shopify Payments. For subscription plans, recurring billing is managed by ReCharge on our behalf.

  • Annual plan: The full annual amount (€96) is charged at sign-up and renewed annually
  • Monthly plan: Charged monthly on the anniversary of your sign-up date
  • Once-off: Charged at the time of purchase

If a payment fails, we may attempt to re-process it. If payment cannot be collected, your service may be paused or cancelled.

6. Cancellation Policy

  • Monthly plan: You can cancel at any time. Your service will continue until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are given for partial months.
  • Annual plan: The annual fee is non-refundable after the cooling-off period (see section 7). You will receive all 12 monthly collections included in your plan. You can choose not to renew at the end of your annual term.
  • Once-off: Once-off collections are non-refundable once the collection has been completed.

To cancel, manage your subscription through the customer portal or contact us at info@glassbag.ie.

7. Your Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)

Under the European Union (Consumer Rights) Regulations 2013 (S.I. 484/2013), you have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of sign-up without giving any reason. This applies to all plans purchased online through our website.

To exercise your right to cancel during the cooling-off period:

  • Email us at info@glassbag.ie with a clear statement of your decision to cancel
  • Include your name, address, order number and the date of sign-up

If you cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period:

  • If no collection has taken place, you will receive a full refund
  • If you requested that the service begin during the cooling-off period and a collection has already taken place, you will be charged a proportionate amount for the service provided

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice, using the same payment method used for the original transaction.

8. Collection Process

  • Collections are scheduled monthly based on your Eircode area
  • You will receive a text reminder the night before your scheduled collection and another approximately 1 hour before collection
  • Your GlassBag must be left outside in an accessible location (e.g. by your front door or gate) on collection day
  • For your first collection, you may use your own container — we will leave a GlassBag after your first collection for future use
  • If your bag is not out when we arrive, we cannot guarantee a return visit

9. Accepted Materials

We accept:

  • Glass bottles (all colours)
