GlassBag was started by Mark and David after repeated frustration with full bottle banks and the hassle of recycling glass by car.
Why was the service created?
The service was built to give households a practical alternative to bottle-bank trips, queues and overflowing bring banks.

GlassBag is a doorstep glass bottle and jar recycling service for households across all Dublin postcodes, North Wicklow, North Kildare and South Meath. We collect your glass from your door — a convenient alternative to the bottle bank.
It was started by us, Mark and David, because we were fed up with how difficult it was to recycle all the glass we were getting through each month. Every time we went to the bottle bank it was full and overflowing — so we decided to do something about it.
Today, GlassBag helps thousands of households across all Dublin postcodes, North Wicklow, North Kildare and South Meath recycle their glass responsibly. We collect tonnes of glass bottles and jars every month and make sure every piece gets properly recycled or upcycled, contributing to the circular economy in Ireland.
