How It Works

Step 1 — Choose your GlassBag recycling plan

Step 1 — Choose Your Plan

Choose the annual, monthly or once-off plan that suits your home. Annual is the best value, monthly is flexible, and once-off is useful after a party, move or busy period.

Once you've decided, place your order and fill in your address details. Please include your Eircode and mobile number — we need these for scheduling your collection.

Step 2 — Your GlassBag collection bag

Step 2 — Fill Your Bag

Use any container or bag you already have to store your glass until your first collection. Rinse bottles and jars where possible; labels and lids can stay on.

To keep waste to a minimum and reduce time on the road, we'll deliver your sturdy reusable GlassBag on the day of your first collection.

Step 3 — Check your collection day on the GlassBag calendar

Step 3 — Check Your Collection Day

Each area we service is assigned a collection day based on your Eircode. You'll find your collection day in your confirmation email, and you'll get text reminders before collection.

You can also check the collection calendar to find your area's day. If you can't find your Eircode, reach out at info@glassbag.ie.

Step 4 — Leave your bag out for doorstep glass collection

Step 4 — We Collect

Leave your glass outside in a visible spot before collection time. You do not need to be home.

We collect the glass, send it for recycling, and leave your reusable bag back with you so you can start filling it again.

How To Maintain Your Bag

We recommend giving it a quick rinse with soapy water after each collection, wiping it down and hanging it up to dry.
